CROWDSOURCING

Two Mega-Trends Changing Everything

WHEN: Sept. 14, 5 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: New York Marriott Downtown

WHO: Michael Morris, CEO, topcoder

HOW: To register, go to www.IAOP.org/NewYork

Join a moderated discussion on these mega trends: Crowdsourcing is overturning the way business is done, particularly by closing the gap between hyperconnectivity and the ideas that depend on it. Retail and supply chain management are also being revolutionized by crowd-enabled mobile apps.

Millennials are changing the face of work forever with their desires for complete freedom when it comes to their work environment. Many millennials want to cultivate careers by doing individual jobs that speak to their passions, with the goal of monetizing their skills in the process.

Recent NY Events:

The Politics of Outsourcing, held April 12, was a resounding success. The highly interactive, argumentative, educational and relevant discussion focused on the “Politics of Outsourcing.” Particular attention was paid to the H1B visa program and its impact on the United States. Panelists included special guest, Ambassador Riva Ganguly Das, Consul General of India in New York; Professor Natalia Levina, Professor at New York University, Stern School of Business; and Professor Ron Hira, Associate Professor at Howard University.
